Hi Ian,

I live in Beniarbeig, a couple of miles away, and I do some shopping for bits and pieces in Benidoleig.

Have you ever been there or just been recommended to it?

It's nice, although I wouldn't necessarily describe it as pretty as such. It's quite sleepy. It has a nice original and quiet old town, but not much in it. There are a few Brits there, more in nearby Orba.

The area is lovely, very green, enclosed by mountains, fantastic for walking and cycling. At the risk of upsetting readers from Marina Baja, this area is less flat, much greener, and more scenic. From Benidoleig you can drive to Denia in 15 minutes, 10 minutes to the big shopping centre at Portal de la Marina.

I hope this helps - if you need more just shout, Steve

We have a home in Benidoleig. It is quiet but has a few  Spanish shops and bars. Also a decent restaurant.

Close to Denia and other localities.

Many of the homes are on the hillside so offer elevated views. We do alot of walking and running in the area and find it ideal.

Many attractive small villages in this area so come and have a look !

Thanks very much for your reply will do we intend to come out early next year we enjoy the quiet life however we do enjoy socialising as well like I said we enjoy cycling and walking my knees are gone so I tend to run on our treadmill.

I also like to play walking football do you know anyone who plays in this region I presume Denia will be the nearest location that may hold walking football.

Once again thank you never got your name.

Ian

Can't help you on the walking football. It does take a few years for this area to catch up on new trends!
