I'm moving to Spain in September and wondering about my current subscription to Amazon, Prime Video and Netflex. When I was in Spain last I couldn't access them due, I understand, to Brexit. How do I access these when I move? Will I need to cancel and rejoin? Do I need to change my email address and mobile telephone number?

I often shop on amazon.es and the site accepts my original UK log in details.

I don't see why you would need to change your email address or phone number 🤔

Obviously you will need to change your delivery address.

You can also use the amazon.de (German) and amazon.it (Italy) with the same log in details.

I can use Amazon Prime to buy products and have them delivered that is no problem but viewing Prime Video especially sports is blocked. Indeed watching, Tv, films and especially sports is problematic

Cancel your UK subscription and rejoin in Spain, Amazon Prime in Spain at the moment is only 36€ per year way cheaper than the UK fee per year. All subscriptions are going up from September this year, the new subscription for Amazon Prime Spain is rising to 49€, not sure what the UK subscription is rising to.

Amazon Prime is country specific so a UK subscription is more or less useless in Spain.

The price in Spain is currently €3.99/mt or €36.00/yr however it's just been announced that from Sept 15th it's going up to €4.99 and €49.90 respectively.

A Prime and Netflix account will work in ANY country where they are available. No need to change anything for this.

Content made by Prime and Netflix will be available in all countries, but third party content will differ from country to country, due to how programme rights are bought and sold on a country by country basis. For example, in the UK Prime have access to a lot of the tennis. In Europe most tennis is with Eurosport (try Eurosportplayer).

But if you live in Spain, and want UK content, then you will need to have it registered to your UK address, and use a compatible (many get blocked) VPN / SDNS service to hide the fact you are trying to watch UK only content from outside the UK.

But prior to Brexit, you could use your UK Prime and Netflix  account in Europe to access UK content without the need for a VPN / SDNS service, but for a limited number of days only. This was more for holiday makers and short stayers, not expats. But post Brexit, this is no longer an option for UK accounts.
