Has anyone tried using either of these apps ? Dgt obviously for driving pay fines etc clave pin for alot of other stuff? I have my nie number now but haven't swapped driving licence yet ,clave sounds complicated to register and dgt a bit difficult without a Spanish license.

Hi, we access SUMA and DGT through the digital certificate that was set up for us by Simpleenglishadvice.

SUMA is quite straight forward as you can select English language, DGT site little trickier as its in Spanish only but using Firefox translate extension we "manage".

No doubt you can set this up yourself but we decided to spend a few Euros rather than have the agro.

Should mention we use these sites on the laptop not apps also we do not have Spanish driving licence as we are non residents.

You need to apply for a Digitial Certificate. The following 2 links will explain how to apply and walk you through the process:

Hi

Life is easier with a digital certificate, and it's free (so far as I can remember!).

In my case, I went to my local ayuntamiento where the bloke on reception gave me an appointment for a few days later, and told me what documents to bring. When I attended, it only took a few minutes and they gave me a slip of paper with instructions on it.

The instructions were basically to download a file and click to install the certificate (on a Windows computer). After, when I attempted to access the Suma site it automatically detected the certificate - simples.

I previously used iCl@ve - which was long winded by comparison.

You may be able to book an appointment on the website of your municipality.

Cheers

Steve
