Good evening guys it's been a while since I was on here I have asked the question before about moving to Benidorm just before covid and people have advised that I rent first so my question is can anyone give me any idea approximately how much it would cost for me to rent and live out there for 3 to 6 months please.

Kind regards

It depends on what you want to rent, apartment,  villa or townhouse etc?

A two bedroom apartment will be around €450 - €500 per calendar month. That rent will usually cover everything except gas & electricity. Some landlords will charge for water. You will pay for Internet if required.

All other things like food etc are on par to UK prices. Alcohol is much cheaper.

Just be aware Shelly that even though you have an Irish passport you are still only officially entitled to stay in Spain (Benidorm) for 90 days in every rolling 180 days.

If you are wanting to stay in Spain for more than the official 90 days then you are required to apply for residency.  This has always been the case but until Brexit upset the apple cart Spain allowed EU citizens to overstay. That rule is now being enforced a little more.

Oh really Steve I spent hours last night reading lots of different articles and didn't come across that in fact I thought it was quite the opposite. To be honest reading some of the stories is very daunting and it worries me about making the move as I'm doing it alone 🙈🤷‍♀️

Cheers steve

Hi Shelly, my wife and I, lrish passports too, were looking forward to retiring to a mobile home in Benidorm. Unfortunately Pam passed away five years this Christmas. It's taken its toll on me, but life must go on. However, If the Spanish government insists visitors to Spain have to be double jabbed, I'm afraid I've seen the last of Benidorm... in UK they now want to 'jab' five year olds....

Good luck to you when you reach Benidorm, great place and wonderful people.

I still hope to get there.
