I live in a residencial block of flats in Benidorm. I rent a 2 bedroom apartment and it costs virtually the same as renting a caravan on a site. The difference being that in apartments you don't see your neighbours very often whereas on sites the neighbours are within "talking" distance.

There are no "expat" clubs as such here but we often meet up in local bars or other pre-arranged places.

Ask again for any information I can help you with. I've lived here 7 years.

Hi there, i too am thinking exactly what you are to live in Benidorm for three months, I’m going more for the apartment option as remember everyone on the campsites had to leave when this COVID started so you could be homeless. I’m thinking after my three months to buy a apartment with small mortgage, the idea of living on a campsite appeals but bear in mind after 10 years you would have paid around €40.000 site fees which I feel is dead money. I know many people choose the campsites and are very happy there it’s just my personal preference. I’m also looking at Torrevieja as well as it’s lot cheaper and big expat community there.

The only people that were asked to leave the campsites were the residents who didn't have fitted toilets or fitted showers within their caravans. This was enforced because no-one was allowed to share the communal facilities.
