We have a post like this nearly every other day. In Benidorm there are gangs of pickpockets who make a good living from stealing handbags, wallets and phones.
Phones and wallets that are in back pockets are a magnet for the professional pickpockets here.
The golden rule here is don't take anything out with you that is not necessary.
You have not mentioned where you lost your wallet.

I agree with Steve, but a phone is needed for emergency reasons, card or cash is also needed to pay for things. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Keep your phone and card /cash in front of you.
Maybe "it would be really appreciated for your help and thank you in advance"..??
Simple common sense can prevent 99% of such incidents but unfortunately too many leave that at home when they pack their bags to go on holiday.
