You probably have had it stolen. Report it to the local police and get a crime number.

I'm afraid tebo53 is right. My partner had his wallet and me my smartphone stolen in Central Benidorm by pickpockets and 'hugger thieves' on two separate occasions. Just ensure you have informed your bank to cancel your cards.
