The unemployment rate in Spain has always been historically high and is probably worse due to COVID.
The only way you can get a job is if an employer sponsors your visa application which is highly unlikely as any job has to be offered to a Spanish national or EU citizen before you can be considered. The other option is to work for yourself (autonomo) which involves a whole new can of worms.
Brexit has a lot to answer for by making things a lot harder and more expensive for people wanting to move here.
