Hello

I am thinking about buying a car to use while I am in Benijofar and would welcome any recommendations for car dealers  in the area. Any other hints and tips about car ownership in Spain would be great.

Thanks

Derek

FWR Eurocars near Alicante airport. English owner Frank is man to get you the car you want. Excellent, honest service.

Hi,

I used Autos Direct(on the way to San Miguel), and whilst they may seem a bit pricier they are genuine , the cars are in excellent condition and aftersales is second to none. I dealt with Alex who was friendly, honest and professional.  Best you go to a few recommended places first to decide which you prefer.

Good luck, and hope you find what you're looking for:-)

In any case you will need a proof of residence and a NIE. If possible stay away from used vehicles. They are overpriced and it is hard to find out about how many preowners and other details. On top of the purchase price there is a special transfer tax payable according to age and make of the vehicle, not it's shape.

...cle, not it's shape.

I am not a resident and bought the car no problem. NIE is all you need. The second hand car I bought from FWR Eurocars is great and wouldnt hesitate to do the same again.
