Best and Cheapest Healthcare Insurance

Hey everyone

Can anyone recommend a company for the private healthcare cover/insurance thst we need when we emigrate to Benimar in 4 weeks?

I have just done an online Bupa quote and all I inout was my age and date of birth and it was showing €435 per month. That can't be right surely?

I'm a reasonably healthy 46 year old man so I don't understand the huge cost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Under current (pre-Brexit) arrangements, if you intend to work legally in Spain, you will get Spanish NHS coverage.

If you are in the fortunate position of not needing to work for your income, you will need private healthcare in order to gain Residency.

My wife and I use DKV. Others on this forum have recommended other companies.

We found DKV to be cost-competitive, and, more importantly, when my wife became ill they were super-supportive. I have no experience of other companies, and they may be just as good.

Our joint coverage (age 60/58) is around 1800 Euros per year.

Hi Lee,

Lots of information on that subject has been covered here on the Forum.

You can access it by tapping on the magnifying glass at the top of the page, which will take you to the Forum search facility. Once there tap in ' Healthcare and advice ' for the ' What are you looking for ' subject / topic , then tap in ' Everywhere ' for the location.

You can also scroll down to the foot of any page you are on until you see a link ' Jim's Guides ' , tapping on the link will bring up really useful information on all manner of subjects, including a link to his advice on Healthcare in Spain.
