Hi, any advice would help for shutting our villa for the first time since we purchased our home here. Have heard you need to be careful re condensation in bedding, wardrobes etc. Jack99

Hi jack

Leave all internal doors wedged open and I leave the bedclothes folded down. The best tip I got was keeping the plastic trays raw meat comes in and filling with some cat litter-it absorbs the moisture in the air. I don’t have issues with clothes in wardrobe as I leave a perfumed sachet on hanger-it absorbs moisture and stops stale smell. Keep stoppers in your sinks and toilet seat down-helps prevent cockroaches.

Hope this helps

Deirdre

Hi Deirdre,

Thanks for your helpful reply. The perfumed sachets are a good idea I don’t know why I didn’t think of those, that’s now on my never ending list!! Also re the cat litter trays.Have done most of the other things you metioned.   Im on the right track. Didn’t realise how much damage condensation can cause. Thanks again for your helpful advice, I shall pass it on.Jack.
