Hi everyone.

I am looking for a CCTV specialist engineer and supplier to give me a quote for a full install on our Villa. We emigrate to Benimar in just over 4 weeks and I have already had some great help from this forum on the subject of CCTV. I now need to decide if it will be cheaper for us to just have it supplied and installed by an engineer in Spain, or whether it will be cheaper to just pay for the installation over there and bring the Swann CCTV pack with us.

Any more advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lee

Just to add to the helpful advice you have been given... Not knowing the full facts, system requirements or how useful at DIY etc you are... have you considered Amazon Blink? They are reasonably priced, SUPER easy to set up and there are NO cloud costs, unlike Ring and Nest.

Failing that, there are security companies who offer you more than just CCTV, the whole monitoring package and liaison with the police etc, for a monthly fee, typically 40-50€ per month.

My recommendation would be Blink, albeit I know it takes jobs away from installers like myself, but it is about the right solution, not just taking money off customers!
