Hi - any advice welcome. My wife and her brothers own a property in Cabo Roig and currently have a bank account in only one of their names. We've heard that to get a joint account, all three of them would have to be present at the bank to open it - is this true as it's a logistical nightmare for them? anyone have experience of opening joint accounts in Spain?

Many thanks

Yes they all would have to be present to open up a bank account, perhaps it could be done via a Solicitor, and give them power of attorney to open the account on their  behalf.

My husband & I have a joint account with La Caixa bank at the top of the strip but you have all definitely got to be there to open it & take your passport.
