We have a holiday home near Cabo Roig we came for a month and found that our local aldi had moved to la Fuente, does anyone know if another supermarket will be replacing it as it was very useful being only a short walk , Thanks
There is a rumour that Iceland are planning to move into the old Aldi supermarket but nothing definite yet.

Hi Nursep, Since the closure of the Store and it's relocation to La Fuente, the Lomas De Cabo Roig Premises have been gradually emptied of all remaining stock plus it's fixtures and fittings . Very little now remains within the building .
There is a company called Overseas Supermarkets who began in Tenerife in 1997, they import and sell mainly Iceland and Waitrose produced products . I believe the nearest branch ,at present, to Cabo Roig is at Torrevieja .
There has, for some time, been strong local talk of the Company opening a branch at the former Aldi Site ,but no official notice to that effect .
A new Shopping Centre , directly adjacent ,is also at an advanced stage of construction

Hi, we have heard that the old premises is going to be an Iceland and could take up to a month or so to get it up and running.
