I am sorry for the problems people are having and hope for improvements for them.

We are shortly planning to send all our furniture and belongings to Spain and I understand that the storage area for our removers is situated on Poligono Poniente in Catral

Looking at the photographs the area looks badly hit, our removers are telling us that all is well.  Could someone give me an on the spot update please.

Thank you, bit worried sending our furniture after seeing the devastating photos.

We have an apartment in Torre de la Horadada an area which seems to have escaped relatively safely.  My heart goes out to all caught up in the dreadful storms.

Movers International (I assume that's who you're referring to) are a reputable company, and if they say there's no problem then I'd believe them.

That are located on flat land so there may well have been standing water, but I don't think this would have been to any great depth. Unless you've asked them to store your goods, then they normally leave them in the trailer until they're delivered.

As you've not yet sent your goods then you've nothing to worry about in my opinion. We may have one or more heavy downpours, as happens every winter, but I've never known more than one gota fría in one winter.

Thank you Jim,  Yes I believe they are a reputable company and so far our dealings with them have been excellent.    I was just trying to settle my worries as we will be keeping our belongings in  storage for an unknown length of time and I wondered where the units were located.

We have had our holiday apartment for 17 years so have experienced Gota Frías over the years but nothing so horrendous as this.

Thank you for your response.
