Skip.

Can anyone recommend a local skip hire company that won't rip us off please! We were quoted a price of 80€ when the skip was delivered and 2 months later, on collection, were charged 100€.

Many skip hire companies have a time limit for rentals, looking at contenederesmata, they quote: "Rental of 3m³ and 5m³ containers may not exceed 21 days, unless different conditions are agreed. Contairner 12m³ can not exceed 4 days".

To have had the skip for 2 months and only be charged an extra €20 seems very reasonable.

Hi Anne,

Were you charged  80 euro on delivery plus  100 euro on collection , total 180 euro, or just  100 euro in total .

Was the two month period between delivery and collection of your choice  or the  choice of the Skip Hire Company.

In the U.K all the Skip Hire Companies I know of, charge, usually in Cash, and  up front ,, to ensure they recieve payment and are not left with a full Skip by builders who may fill it and then dissapear .

LeckyLes.

All companies have increased their prices to 100 euros, usually payment is made when the skip is delivered to you, in my experience without a time limit, when it is full you just ring them to pick up.

You normally pay on delivery

I imagine you were charged extra for keeping it for 2 months.
