New to Spain and Crevillente. Is there such a thing as a municipal tip in the area? How do you get rid of a reasonable amount of general waste? Are skips available for hire?

According to Google Maps, the ecopark is near the cemetery:

https://www.google.es/maps/place/Ecoparque+Crevillente+Punto+Limpio/@38.233675,-0.8196491,18z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0xd63b959e9546cfd:0x3c0950d327cff466!8m2!3d38.2335672!4d-0.8189909?hl=en

For large items you can't transport there, talk to the council and they'll tell you when to leave them out for collection.

You can hire skips, and a full size one will probably cost €80. If the skip has to be placed on a public road, then you need permission from the town hall.

Hello Jim,

First just a thank you for all your info on a hundred and one different subjects...Iam sure many people have found them invaluable including myself👍🏻

Just to add to this particular subject is that I have recently had  to have skips and if it was only garden rubbish it was 100 euro and if it was mixed / general waste it was 140....so since I last had them they seem to have shot up and weather it’s had something to do with last years storms or new legalization I don’t know? Still half the price of the Uk all said and done! All the best, regards BB.

Ouch, but thanks for letting me - and everyone else - know the current prices.

Thank you for your comments re tips and skips. I went to the Crevillente tip but we needed some kind of permit or license. Still not investigated this. Will provide more info when I find out more, unless there is someone out there who can give advice.

Only guessing, but they might want to see your padrón to prove that you're a resident before they let you use the facility.

Hi Ian

I live in Crevi.  If you want to get rid of general waste at no cost just come to the Poligono Industrial which is to the right of the Policia Local office in Careterra de Estacion.  Lots of bins, no restriction, dump what you will!!
