Hi there is a pigeon on my next door neighbors canopy roof  I think it must be hurt or something don’t really know what to do any idea

It will probably be someone's homing pigeon, lost and resting. Usually they regain strength, reset radar and fly off.

Use binoculars and see if it's got a ring on it. If so, it belongs to someone.

If it's painted with bright colours, then it's a male that takes part in bonking competitions and, again, belongs to someone. Make a note of the colours and ask one of the local pigeon fanciers - there's usually a bar where they all hang out.

If it's not ringed or painted, then it's a feral pigeon and, unless seriously injured, should recuperate and fly away.
