Hi Claire, did you ever receive any info about buses from Daya Neuva? I would be very interested too.  Thanks

Jayne

Hi, Yes there is a bus that comes through the village but you have to phone the bus company before 2pm the day before you wish to travel, and request that it diverts to the village. I don't think the bus runs on Sundays.  The bus stops are on the main road, outside and opposite the the farmacia.

The Ajuntamiento has all the information as I got it myself last summer.  They gave me the phone number of the bus company and a timetable, but am not in Spain at the moment and do not have the information with me. As usual  most of the conversation with them was in basic Spanish, but they were very helpful.

I did ask them to put the info on the notice board outside the main door, but there was nothing there when out in January. The number you phone does have a gentleman who speaks fairly good English at the other end as I have spoked with him to confirm that I had correctly understood the information I had been given, and when out in Jan we did see the bus come through the village, so someone must have contacted the company.  You can get to Guadamar or Almoradi on it.

I hope this helps, and good luck!!

Hello Mars8, sorry for the delay in my reply - I want to thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my question.  The information you have given is really helpful and I have also passed it on to family and friends.

I am not due back out to Daya for a while but when I do, I will be sure to call into the Ajuntamiento to find out more.

Hope all well for you and thanks again.

Jayne
