HI All
Thinking of buying a property that already has a licence number to rent out do i have to apply for a new one or can i just change it into my name.....Any advice would be great

The license is for the property, not for the owner.

When you buy the property you can arrange for your lawyer to send off the change of ownership details relating to the license. The license number remains the same but you would need to attend a Guardia Civil appointment once it has been changed as the log on details for registering guests relate to the the person who files the details and the Guardia would need to note the new owners and contact person details and issue the new password.
I should add that there are very few properties on the market at the moment that have an existing license.
