Can anyone please help in explaining how I can acquire British TV over Free to air and what receiver I will require. It appears that I have both a TV and Satellite connection to the community satellite, but not sure how this works.
In addition can anyone please recommend which internet and paid TV service has the best performance and customer service record.

Hi Ian
I have an apartment on Golf de Campoamor and was told there was a community satelite dish, but I had to call someone out when I couldnt get English channels. Turns out the dish is angled to pick up European channels and not English ones. So if you ask about the community dish, ask what it is set to receive.

Many thanks for your response. I too have an apartment on Golf Campoamor. I’ve got a feeling that the community satellite dish points to mainland Europe mainly for the Dutch / Belgium community. So I won’t get English channels as well. I’ll have to get my old skybox and install a satellite dish otherwise it’s cable TV which I may have to pay for. You wouldn’t happen to know a suitable Satellite dish installer would you.

Small world! I’m sorry, I don’t know any satalite installlers, but you’re sure to find some recommendations on the forum.
I had wifi installed (pay as you go - 20€ for each month you use it. You just call and let them know when you are going over and its switched on that day) and intend getting a MAG250 set top box to get tv over internet.
