Hello,

We are a Belgian couple and considering to buy a property in Dolores. It seems to be a genuine  Spanish town. How are the supply possibilities in the town. It looks as if you have to go to the nearby towns for a bakery, butcher,...  We welcome every advice.

Hi we live in the post code of Dolores. There is everything in the town though not as contained under one roof as in a supermarket! But good fun sorceing where who sells what when. Market day is Friday.

Lovely place if Spanish is what you are looking for as not many here speak English orBelgium!!

Good luck x

I live near to Dolores (but have a Catral Post Code)

I find Dolores brilliant for everything.

There are small bakeries, nice cafes, a great Dentist, the computer shop is where I got my laptop and buy my printer ink. The Chemists are good and know what they are doing too. It is a nice market on Fridays which sell everything from fresh produce to clothes and toys.

I use the Bank and the Post Office in Dolores and find the staff very helpful.

Personally I'd prefer Almoradi - it's a larger town and has a better choice of supermarkets, butchers, and all other types of shop. But they're only a few minutes apart, so no reason not to live in Dolores and do your main shopping in Almoradi.

Hi Jim,Thats probably true, but in my case I have already bought an apartment in Dolores & until I find a small auto car will be walking everywhere. But have been to Dolores before and find I can buy all of my basic needs within a 10 min easy  walk. The Friday morning market sells a large variety of goods & is an enjoyable experience.Wished there was some lively music there though!! Quesada has more life such as Rock & Roll, flamenco,Zumba and some good shows.
