A word of warning. I have just bought over 20 square metres of porcelain tiles from the spiderman tile place on the Catral road. I appreciate they have a no returns policy but every single tile was damaged. It appears to be an issue caused by the factory packing department not the retailer. However I bought them from him and they should be accountable in my opinion. When I returned to try and resolve the issue by swapping the tiles if need be but he was very dismissive and said it was my problem. Maybe you would be better advised buying tiles elsewhere.

Hi Sheedy

If you knew they had a no returns policy why did you not inspect the tiles before paying?

The only place I can think of is Rodríguez y Moñino, in Dolores but with the main site on the road to Catral. A lot of the tiles they sell are obsolete, so it's a good place to try if you want to find old tiles. I've used them numerous times and never had a problem, but I do inspect what I'm buying before I leave their depot.

Hi

Thats a fair point. However the tiles were chosen from samples the order was delivered direct from the manufacturer. We appreciate that there may have been blemishes/ chips etc so we ordered a couple of extra boxes to cover such issues. All they had to do was put some kind of packing between the tiles to stop them from being damaged. Are you suggesting we should have opened 24 boxes to check each tile then having the problem of getting them home in damaged packaging on the off chance that they wouldnt get damaged in transit. Also by that time we had already paid for them, so if we had of opened them in front of the staff if wouldnt have mattered. As the bloke said buying tiles off him is a lottery and its your problem.

Ok, fair enough, I don’t want to buy tiles from them, heard they were good for Chippings. Cheers.
