You can get a bus from the airport to Alicante bus station, then walk to the tram station and go to El Campello. 6€? Some walking involved.
Theres probably a bus from Alicante bus station to El Campello.
A taxi costs about 45-60€ straight to El Campello.

Not quite correct.
Airport shuttle C6 to Alicante city, cost €3.75, has a stop at Marc Castillo tram stop. Just walk across road from bus stop. Google C6 route and it will become clear. There you can get tram to El Campello, approx €2 or 3.
Alternatively there are frequent buses from Alicante city to El Campello. https://alicante.vectalia.es/linea/linea-21-alicante-playa-san-juan-el-campello/#linea=21
C6 from airport to city. Get off Puerto Del Mar, it’s a major busy stop at the beach.
Just beside that stop is stop for 21 to El Campello. Few euro!! Frequent.
However at night time all this info may change!!!
Hope that helps
Hi thanks for this information
You say walking involved roughly how far in terms of time from Alicante bus station to the tram ?
Also how frequently do they run ? Buses too if you happen to know
Thanks again

Andy, We do this quite often. The C6 Airport bus runs approx every 30 minutes during the day, but reverts to hourly after about 2130. This bus does a circular route from the airport, through various stops in the city and back to the airport. To avoid walking, get off the bus at either Marq Castillo (quickest route or Luceros (If you want to stop for food or drink). Dont get off at the bus station - it's quite a walk to a tram stop. Bus fare is €3.75. At Marq Castillo, cross the road and take the lift down to the tram stop. At Luceros, take the escalator down to the tram Station. Metropolitan tram fare is €1.45 or you can buy a travel card at Luceros for €2 and then buy 10 trips for €8.70. So, first card costs €10.70 for 10 trips.
