The owner of the apartment I've rented for the week, has suggested that I get one of the TAM Mobilis cards which having looked on their website I can buy at a kiosque.  I was told that you can then top them up with credit.... but not too sure where you do that...it doesn't look like you can do it on line... and I read that you have to top up at a TAM bus station?  Does anyone in El Campello have any experience of this? It's not urgent in the sense that I'll buy one today and that will be enough for this week, but it would be useful for when we return in 2 weeks time and try and set up our holiday home.. thanks for any help!

Thanks Mike, that's good news... In the end, after driving around El Campello trying to find the tabascos mentioned on the website, they only did top ups.... so ended up buying one at Luceros tram station...but at least now I'll know where/how to top up!! It's a great system...shame Dublin never bothered to invest in infrastructure like the Spanish!!

I guess that its your money in the end that Built the tram. So we better use it 😁. The spaniards have been good with the EU money. Our railways here in sweden are not up to date either... good luck!

Yes the Spanish seemed to have spent the EU money wisely... re-assuring to hear that it isn't only the Irish who haven't updated things!!  Living in France, you kind of get used to proper public transport that doesn't cost a fortune!!

You can also top up the card on the machine in the ticket office next to Campello Tram.

Thanks it also looks like you can top up on the tram itself..but I'd prefer to do it at a station.

Yes I prefer topping up at the station, less rushed. The ticket office at El Campello is not immediately obvious. It is at the end of the platform going towards Benidorm.
