15th August - Assumption festival.. are there things on or does everything close down?

This is our first time here this late in August, and we're wondering whether there are any festivals linked to the 15th August (I know further south there is a big festival), and whether restaurants/shops stay open or consider it a 'bank holiday'... it's not always clear to me what are bank holidays or not in Spain!

Hi, check the Facebook page on El Campello, or the online tourist info for El Campello. I know there is a swimming and running race by Salesiano school, beginning at 9am, fabrequer beach. Also things going on 15-17th at Calle Gabriel Miro. Gran bbq, things for kids etc, google barrio pls de sarrio festival.

Also saw your old post about altering clothes, I am a dressmaker and alter clothes, make curtains etc, feel free to message e me if you need more alterations.

Great thanks - will check out the town's website/facebook page. Thanks about the clothes alterations etc... got something altered at Carrefour shopping centre.. but will let you know if I need anything else done!! Especially relating to curtains!
