Hi there,

We have an apartment at Playa Muchavista which we visit every year but not too sure how the restrictions are affecting Spain.

Are restaurants and bars open in El Campello in particular Claro de Luna and are swimming pools in apartment complexes allowed to open?

Are masking obligatory when outside?

One last question is have the beach bars along {Playa Muchavista been able to open this year.?

Thank you.

1/ Bars and restaurants open with 75% capacity, otherwise seem normal

2/ The local pool in Busot is closed for the summer, and a lot of communal pools are closed. Not sure if they will reopen

3/ Yes, masks have to be worn when outside, especially if you come within 2mtrs of some else.

We wear our masks when in Campello, hand gel and gloves provided in most grocery stores, Carrefour only gel.

4/ Bars in Campello open, we are planning a walk along Muchavista beach this weekend so can hopefully update you.

Everything here seems to be getting back to normal, everyone is wearing masks when out in public. All tables in restaurants spaced out for social distancing. It seems that here in Spain the whole distancing, sanatizing is being adhered to very well

Hope this helps

Regards

John

Hi John,

Thanks so much for the response.

We are there in early August and we have friends meeting us there so were worried about sitting together in restaurants and at the beach etc.

I suppose, like here things are changing quite regularly .

David.

Carrying a mask is mandatory but it is only necessary to wear it when you cannot maintain social distancing or in shops!

Hello again.

we have just heard that Spain may be going into lockdown again.

Is this happening as news reports are telling us that we have to quarantine on arrival back to the UK

No, no lockdown here. All ok at the minute, but you must wear masks when out in public.

Hopefully you'll get it soon 😉 No panicking here, everyone abiding by the rules. Weather warm, 32c today. There are some flare ups in the big cities, but seems ok here🤞🤞

Hi John.

We haven't spoke since last year so was wondering how it is out there.

We are booked to arrive on 30th July for 2 weeks and hoping that there is some normality.

Hi David

Everything is pretty normal at present. They have started to implement a few more restrictions as cases are rising again, like only 6 people to a table in restaurants and 10 people per table outside. Night clubs may be shut again, but otherwise, It's like it was but with not so many people, although we have seen an increase lately.

You still need to wear a mask when going into shops etc, and whist in the streets, However, you can go mask free if your walking outdoors and at least 1.5m away from another person.

I hope this helps

Very warm here today,36C outdoors in Busot.

Enjoy your stay

Regards

John Archer
