Well this trip keeps getting better and better

I had some lovely cruncy nuts (I think) and have broken a filling

Can anyone recommend a dentist in El Campello (preferably one who can vagurly speak English)

Also does anyone know if the E111 covers dental treatment

Thankyou xx

It is my understanding that the EHIC only covers emergency dental treatment to get you out of pain. If the treatment can wait until you get home then it is not covered. Dental treatment is cheaper in Spain anyway especially if someone can come up with details of a local dentist who speaks English as they will generally be cheaper than British dentists from what I have experienced.

"travel insurance cover for dental treatment provides reimbursement for emergency dental care if you experience an injury, infection, lost filling, or broken tooth that requires immediate treatment by a dentist."

Hi Cheryl,

Can you explain where this quote is from?  The EHIC website or from separate travel insurance?

"travel insurance cover for dental treatment provides reimbursement for emergency dental care if you experience an injury, infection, lost filling, or broken tooth that requires immediate treatment by a dentist."

Thank you,

Maria
