I have an appointment booked for tomorrow in Javea am I able to keep this appointment. As El Verger and Javea are not in the list of restricted areas I thought I was still okay to go but a friend has said I’m not so I wanted to check.

Hi Georgina,
I've checked the latest restrictions for the C.Valenciana region and I can see nothing that prevents you from making the journey from El Verger to Javea. I've also checked the region's previous restrictions (from 7 January for 14 days), which included the closure of 26 municipalities in C.Valenciana, but El Verger and Javea are not in that list, so I don't know on what basis your neighbour says you can't travel - you can either ask them or ignore their advice.

Have a look at the N332 Facebook page as they posted an up to date item regarding the current rules and regulations in relation to the virus a few days ago.
The N332 Facebook page have been keeping us up to date with any rules and regulations regarding the virus since March last year. The page is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people.
Their website deals with anything regarding driving in Spain and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code.
