Good afternoon,

Has anyone driven from Spain to the UK via France (or back from the UK) this year so far ?

I understand that from January 6th 2022, France have changed their "essential reason for travel" and will now allow UK citizens who are legally resident in another EU country to drive through France.

Has anyone made this journey by road since then? I am keen to find out if there were any problems as I have a trip planned in the near future.

Thanks

Gary

Hi Gary,

We did the trip last week, absolutely no problems at all, straight through the Spanish boarder with no stops, stayed overnight in a hotel in France then onto Caen for the boat, no issues at the port. Hope your trip goes well.
