I've seen a lovely house I'd like to buy (to permanently live in) in Gata. I wont be driving much (if at all) so can members tell me what buses, trains etc run through Gata, and where they go to etc?

We travelled from Gata de Gorgos to Denia on a train which was more like a tram and I believe there is also a bus but I haven't been on that. You can travel between Denia and Alicante on the train/tram ? but I believe you have to change somewhere between the two I think Benidorm. Have a look at http://www.benidorm-info.com/costa_blanca/lemon-express.htm but the lemon-express no longer runs. The train station is on Paseo de Alicante and can be found using an online map of gata quite easily and the bus stop, and Taxis are are in Plaza Nueva. Cheers Anne
