We are coming out to Spain in August for 6 months to get our residencia. I am 64 and won't get my uk state pension until I am 66. My wife is 61. Does anyone know if we will need private medical insurance in Spain to get our residencia and if so how much does it cost per person per year.

Hi Pat & Rose.
Best thing to do is find a English speaking Gestor who will be able to give you the advice and help arranging paperwork etc for residencia in Spain obviously a fee to pay. You may find that you will have a wait to get your residencia as Aug is the time spanish are closed for holiday. Hope all goes well for you both.
