Hi, I'm looking at buying a property and after months of searching have narrowed the search down to the Entre Naranjos urbanisation. Due to the covid restrictions on re-entering the UK, I haven't been able to visit the area and just wondered if anybody who lives there could give me the low down on the good, the bad and the ugly. Forarmed is forewarned and all that. Many thanks in advance

I live on Laguna Green, you need a car if you live here, only one shop and its expensive, plenty of bars if you like that sort of thing, ps, it has some nicknames Moanvill, groanvill and waiting for god urb.

Mike, your reply is so funny and probably true.

We drove over there some years ago as we were looking for something to do and believed that there was a castle nearby. No castle and the place seemed deserted as it was sooo quiet. It was afternoon so could have been that all the locals were enjoying siesta time.

I imagine some folk enjoy peace and quiet but somebody who is planning to travel for holidays might find it too remote.

Watching that programme A PLACE IN THE SUN always makes me laugh when she says that the property is only a 15 or 20 minute drive to the beach. That’s a long way if you forget something and you need to buy a car too.  Make life a lot simpler and buy a place in an area that will suit all the family. It doesn’t have to be a large sprawling seaside town, you could buy a more remote coastal home but again, you will need a car.

Enjoy searching but don’t EVER consider buying without viewing.  Never ever. Tempting but madness.

Thanks for your reply. You’re right, I think I need to maybe spend at least a few days in the area to get a feel for what it’s all about.

Entre Naranjos is a community.

Lots of people who make lots of friends and socialise on or off the urb.

Lots of music/ entertainment .. aquarobics , spanish lessons, paddle tennis, bowls clubs, trips to Benidorm palace..etc the list is endless..

The people all come together when support is needed in any way shape or form...

U can choose to see people more ...or less its up to you how you choose, yes there are lots of various personalities and yes some " may" be a bit grump but were would you find any where on earth were every one is perfect? No where!... well in a shaeolin monestery I suppose ha ha..

Hope this helps :)

P.s yes you would be better having a a car but I know people who dont have a car and various people offer to take them to the supermarket on a regular basis.. plus before lockdown with lots of effort a bus service had been won..and I am sure when normal service resumes we will have it back :)

The place is not that bad at all. The convenience store is just that. A convenience store. Really handy. There is also a very popular golf club. Club shop and a Spanish owned restaurant with beautiful views over the golf course & surrounding area. There’s a new Irish Gastro bar. Another Spanish restaurant across the road. This week there was a ladies fashion show at another bar, this went on nearly all day. Down the bottom end there is a nice Indian restaurant, reasonably priced. A new ladies hair dressers. A chemist. Pizza restaurant. Bistro bar (popular with Sunday dinners). A tavern next door also popular with dinner & afternoon teas. There is a charity event this Saturday at the tavern & the bistro bar. This is an all day job with entertainment. Obviously no dancing because of the present situation. So as you can  see it’s far from doom & gloom & not siesta time, regards, Mutt.

Thanks for your reply Mutt. Hopefully I'll be able to get over soon and have a good look around.
