At first the bank who gave me the mortgage set it up automatically as per their terms and conditions, but towards the end of the first year and as I was looking for other quotes the bank offered me a like for like deal at a very competitive rate, so I took up their offer. The bank is Sabadell and they don't just do it for their own customers but I suspect they might try to get you to transfer your bank to them if you are not already using them.
