Hi, I am thinking of having solar panels. I have a 2 bed, 2 bath, apartment and have been advised that I will need 6 or 8 panels. Also, I am currently with Iberdrola, and will need to stay On Grid, due to cloudy days.. Does anyone with solar panels, have any advise please ? and, should I switch to a different energy company with a cheaper 'Standing Charge' ? Thank You,.

Have you actually had a quote for solar installation as that may change your mind immediately? I only know one couple who had it installed at great cost and something was always going wrong with it.

I am curious ... how big would they be, and where would you put them ?

Do you have a roof terrace ?

We have a neighbour with solar panels mounted on a South-facing wall in his garden, but they are pretty big.

We have a big solarium and part of it is covered with an aluminium roof. South facing. I Think the panels are about 80 X 130cm each.
