Hi

The house we've bought came with a refitted kitchen. The dishwasher is a Fisher and Paykel 2 draw integrated unit which means that it has two horizontal drawers each containing a dishwasher and the two can be used independently of each other.

The downside is that the unit seems to leak when draining - the intake pipes are dry - I assume the drainage pipe which connects to the unit has a tear close to the unit allowing water to drain onto the kitchen floor. The unit is only a couple of years old.

Given this unit is integrated it's not a simple job of pulling it out to have a look - instead there are a couple of latches on each side of each drawer which can be released to allow the drawer unit to slide out. As the water intake and drain pipes are connected it makes this difficult for a DIY'er.

So does anyone have the same kind of unit as mine and used someone to fit it or service it because of a leak.

Ideally a registered business and not a "cash only" outfit.

F&P was a premium NZ brand.

F&P was taken over by Haier, I think around 5 years ago (a Chinese white-goods manufacturer).

You might be able to get service info/diagrams/parts via a Haier service agent/website.

Thanks - that's interesting. On the Fisher and Paykel website they advise no Spanish agents or service. I do have the service manual with exploded images etc.

I might search for Haier and see if there's any bleed across the brands.

I have a friend in NZ who used to work for F&P.

The person we bought from is a "high end" kitchen fabricator from the UK looking at his Linkedin profile. I think he brought it over with him. F&P sell in the UK and some countries in Europe - just not Spain.

I would have expected the plumbing to have lasted for longer than 2 years even if it was "low end" lol.

Maybe.

I had never heard of F&P until I visited NZ around 10 years ago.

Maybe I'm a bit world weary ... and perhaps it is a high end brand on the outside with regular Haire parts on the inside

Good luck with it
