I have changed banks ,but unlike at home Sebadell won't pass the details to the other bank of standing orders or direct debits so have to do each one manually. I need to know who to make out the yearly fees to.

Thanks

Your administrators for community fees. We have a website for ours and we can change bank details through there after logging on. If you haven't got one of those it may be a trip to the admin office to do it.

Sabadell should give you a list of all your direct debits, standing orders etc (They printed mine out when I left them when it was Cam bank) and it will have all the references and payments on it. You hand this in to your new bank and they should do it all for you.

With SUMA or council tax, car tax and other municipal taxes, you can do this online with your CSV which is printed on any bills you may have.

SUMA Online

If you are online with electricity and water you can do the same but your new bank should do it for you once you give them the references.

Times may have changed, but in respect of utilities, I was able to change my bank details on-line (via my on-line account) with Iberdrola. However, with Hidraqua while I also had an on-line account with them, you had to email them to change your bank details.

I managed my bank account move such that I did not close my Sabadell account until I'd seen a direct debit go out of my new bank account for the electric, water and TV/internet.

I'd provided my changed bank details to SUMA and given that at the time that was taken annually, I took a chance that they'd updated it and closed my Sabadell account. IIRC I was able to check on-line that they had updated my bank details so I knew it was going to work out fine.

In our community, the Administrators take direct debits from all the homeowners, straight into the urbanisation bank account. If anyone changes bank, they just email the Administrators with their new IBAN number. This will give them access to take your fees whenever they’re due. ( When you buy a property, your solicitor notifies them of your IBAN number.) So just email them. 😎
