Hello all. We are in the process of buying a holiday home in La Florida. Are there any regular bus services from la Florida area to the nearest beach?? Many thanks for any advice!!

Hi

There is a mini bus service that runs through La Forida and will take you to the beach at Playa Flamenca https://costazul.net/lineas-urbanas/c-c-la-zenia-boulevard-hospital-de-torrevieja/ - but figuring out the timetable can be a bit of a challenge!

Cheers

Thanks Steve. That’s really helpful and reassuring!! Hopefully during our stays there, we should be able to figure out the timetable. Cheers. Ali

Hi

At this point I have to say that I haven't actually used the bus for a few years....

There is a stop on the same side of the road as the abbey - I'm not sure how obvious it is, I will try to take notice next time I pass!

I'm reasonably sure that there is a stop on the other side as well.

At either stop it may be difficult to figure out which way the bus is going without asking! But it's possible that they all go to the beach - the route can be a bit circular!

I advise you have a drink in either Waldemar's or Arianaz bars and ask the staff/locals - but not the abbey because they have no tables overlooking the street.

Hope this helps!
