We are buying in La Mata and would like some help with the best bank account to pay our standing charges

As nearly all the Spanish banks charge high fees for non residents bank accounts and posters on this forum have been registering and banking with "Wise" who are on online bank. You will get an EU IBAN and can set up direct debits.

Hi,
I set up a wise account in the summer and when I was over mid September to early October, I moved my 4 direct debits to wise and closed my Spanish bank account.
My charges last year were nearly €180 which I think is better in my pocket or mer than likely in the wife’s purse lol.
