Driving to Spain from UK

Hi All

I am driving to La Mata next week for the first time with my Dog, on the AA road app it gives three route options from Calais can someone suggest the best one i do not mind Toll roads if it makes the journey easier

Hi Gary

I have driven a number of times and the best route is via Somport Tunnel but this time of year I would probably avoid it with the snow see below option.

Calais - Saint Quentin - Reims - Troyes - Dijon - Lyon - Orange - Montpellier - Narbonne - follow AP 7 down Barcelona - Valencia through to La Mata. This route is possibly the best as its motorway all the way and is kept clear.

Calais - Abbeville - Rouen - Le Mans - Tours - Poitiers - Saintes - Bordeaux - Biarritz - San Sebastian - Pamplona - Tudela - Zaragoza - Teruel - Valencia and onto La Mata. This route may not be as weather friendly but good for summer use going via Pau and Somport Tunnel.
