One of my colleagues has paid for and booked a party of 16 at La Manga Club for next month, but is concerned in view of the lack of any replies to his phone calls and emails that they may have gone into liquidation. Can anyone throw any light on this situation? Many thanks.

Hello

They look to be very busy at the moment and it is an extremely popular resort, which could be the reason, also their time chart says they are very busy during normal daytime hours.

During  late afternoon/evening- not so much  so try calling then... they are a hotel so are open 24hrs. The number I see online is     0034 968331234.

Cheers

Thank you for your reply. I will continue to make further enquiries. My main concern is my colleague who has booked a party of 16 in next month but has not received any written confirmation, replies to all of their emails and hundreds of telephone calls. If you live here you will probably accept that it can be wrong to reply on company websites, but for an establishment like La Manga and having paid for the vacation they expect more. They are in the process of going somewhere else. What a loss to La Manga that may be heading to another shut down/liquidation???

To try to help from a different angle.

La Manga club has a facebook page for the community of owners.

La Manga club Community

https://www.facebook.com/lamangaclubcommunity/

You could ask on there for help but the home page has a variety of contact options including a direct message facility.

Maybe someone within the community would be willing to make your enquiry at the hotel reception or know a better contact number ?

I know it's a long way around your problem but most of these people will be using the facilities regularly and will know the day to day operations of the resort.

Maybe worth a try ?

Has you friend booked directly with the Principe Felipe or through a booking agent.

The number I’ve found for the hotel is  0034 968 11 56 51 which is at the top of their web page

Reception is 24 hours, so can’t understand why they’re not answering the phone.

I know the shuttle bus isn’t running at the moment but that’s due to  Covid restrictions and one golf course closed due to  The World Amateur Golf is being held there next month They’ll probably have a restaurant closed as well for professional sports “bubbles”.

La Vuelta went through the resort last week, so it did look very busy.

Where are you actually staying on the resort? We stayed at La Quinta resort within the La Manga club  in June and had a wonderful week. Reception were so helpful during our stay. Maybe try calling them and asking for help with contacting the hotel you are staying at. They may know more being on the doorstep? Www.laquintaclub  xx

Thank you so much. As a result of all your sound advice my friend has managed to speak with them at last and is honouring his booking. Many thanks once again to all of your posts-really appreciated.
