I use this bus quite regularly (as I'm too tight to either drive and pay for parking at Alicante or to pay for a taxi).

While the bus is direct, I've seen the drivers take a couple of different routes  - one heading out of Torrevieja through to Ciudad Quesada and joining the AP7 and heading all the way up that to the airport (IIRC the last bit is the A70 before the turn off to the airport albeit you wouldn't know that you'd changed roads); the other which seems to be used more more infrequently is to go all along the N332 having left Torrevieja.

I say that just so if you use it on more than one occasion that you don't suddenly get filled with trepidation that you've got on the wrong bus!

Ultimately, it doesn't really matter which route they take as it doesn't stop anywhere but it seems to be more like a 45 minute journey on the AP7 while taking slightly longer (albeit arguably a bit more scenic) on the N332!
