Hello,
My father currently resides in La Zenia 6 months of the year so he has bought over a car from the UK for him to use whilst he's there.
The car has UK number plates but he would like to change them to EU/Spain.
Does anyone know how to do this please? Or does anyone know who he'd have to speak to/where he'd have to go to sort this?

Congratulations on being willing to do the right thing.
This is a subject that can be fraught with problems if you try DIY. Although I myself always try to do things myself, in my opinion I think you'd be much better getting an expert to do it.
The headlamps will almost certainly need changing and, depending on the car, it may need a new rear fog light.
If your father isn't officially resident here, then it may be necessary to put the car on tourist plates.
Insurance needs to be from a Spanish company.
If the car doesn't have a certificate of conformity, then an engineer's report will be necessary.
And so it goes on...

I would also recommend Graham Shelton, look at his website www.spanish-number-plates.com very professional, they take you right through the process and don't leave you on your own, his partner Leigh is excellent

Hi...we used Graham Shelton and Leighton last year...very efficient! and went out of their way to help us...we needed new front headlamps and rear fog lamp...total price including TVR €1000.19..
