I’m thinking of a short trip to Gibraltar, my question is....do I drive or get the train.

If I drive I can imagine parking would be horrendous.

I feel a train may be the better option?

Secondly...accommodation, any suggestion in or near Gibraltar?

Thanks all.

Hi Chester

We drove to Gibraltar last month. A beautiful drive through such pictureque countryside. Roads fantastic. Did all the toll roads so little traffic. 6 hours drive but good stop places every 2 hours.

We stayed at the Bristol hotel very reasonable.

Regards graham

However you do it, I suggest that you allow enough time to see Gibraltar itself, and not just the shopping strip, which in my opinion is quite grotty and much dearer than you'd expect for a tax-free zone. The only bright spot of our visit there was the sight of a number of eagles when we were getting near to Gibraltar.

Planning two days Jim...I have been a few times before but not under my own volition or with a car.

Not my cup of tea but the wife fancies a trip down.
