Hi ellismuirhac if you are sure power is reaching the oven then any Qualified  English Electrician would be competent to work on it as appliances are not specific to the "Spanish System " . Media City at La Zenia Boulevard sell ovens and may be able to arrange a suitable repair.

Actually that's very rude.. my partner is a fully trained electrician.. as les said, Spanish appliances can be purchased through out Europe.

Have you ever seen behind a wall how the Spanish fit the electrics? Obviously not!

Oh, you might also be interested in knowing, that an appliance technician is not an electrician.

As stated by the original Poster . They unfortunately have a problem with an electrical Appliance, no mention of requiring work on the fixed wiring within their house nor the need for a boletin  he , or she ,just wants the oven to work.

There are many qualified non Spanish electricians working legally in our areas, and due to their previous experience their standards are normally higher than those accepted in Spain. Don’t judge standards by the few cowboys around, and certainly never say I won’t employ a British electrician, there are many Spanish cowboys about as well, with much lower standards. Use a reputable electrical service irrespective of nationatially. I have used Amps, you won’t find much better, both Spanish and English speaking, and professional. Just an opinion based on service and quality, nothing more!

Well Said Bles. Get so peed off by some of the comments regarding English tradesmen.

Perhaps what should be said is the Spanish electrics are crap and just wired in series not on any form of ring main.

However as you correctly stated the oven is not down to spanish electrics if there is a feed getting there. It will be the element. Don't need an electrician for that.

When we bought our new Villa 15 years ago, the waste water was backing up if there were more than 2 people at the villa...THIS IS SPANISH PLUMBING I was told. Complete rubbish, I'm a British plumber so obviously don't know anything about Spanish Plumbing, i.e water running through 4 inch soil pipes ! Had nothing to do with the piece of 3x2 in the waste pipe under the house !!!!
