Hi.

I am looking for a gestor or agent who could transfer our car from my husband to me in name only. There will be financial transactions involved.

Preferably local to Los Dolces or Villamartin area please.

Thank you in anticipation.

You sound like a glutton for punishment! Why pay for a gestor on top of the transfer tax and DGT fee when you could do it yourself? Just look at my guides.

Unless it's a separation scenario, it would be much cheaper and easier to leave ownership as it is, and to have your husband nominate you as the habitual driver.

Yes I do realise that thank you. However my husband is terminally Ill and is unable to drive nor to travel about any distance.

If you are able to reply with a more helpful suggestion it would be appreciated.

As my wife died a month ago, I sympathise.

Unless your will is on the basis of usufruct, which that of my late wife and I is, and which complicates matters. my understanding is that DGT allow a free transfer after death of the owner, but that this can only be done after the inheritance tax declaration, even if it's a no tax due declaration, has been done.

Hi spanishlady,

I'm very sorry to hear of your circumstances.  From the very recent experience of a friend, who lost her husband last year, it will be much more convenient for you to do the change of ownership whilst your husband is alive.  The details of the gestor she used are Steve Ford, tel: 667 834 487.  Although he lives in Benijofar, he travels all over the region.

Kind regards,

Kim
