I have been asked to pay 50% of the estimated 10000 euros fees for selling my apartment. The fees include lawyer and estate agent costs. My apartment has not been sold. It is up for sale. Is this normal practice?

Hi Dalkeithmo,

Who is asking you to pay this and have you signed a contract with them?  If the answers are "Estate agent" and "No", then go elsewhere.  However, if you've already signed a contract, it may not be that easy and you should refer to the payment terms in the contract.

Kind regards,

Kim
