They know this how? Do feral cats drop dead in front of them?
They are FERAL cats who wander from site to site and some obviously quite old.

Research, i would say. Studies, programmes, working with charities vets etc! Its not difficult. There is lots of information readily available if you choose to take some time to read it.

Here is a link you may want to read.
Cats in my Colonies are most older then 10 years!!!! If cats get not only food, buit also medical Treatmant if they get sick, they can get much older. I got some cats, leaving alone, after people left or died, some wehre neutered, some I have done, they are bewtween 13 an 15 years old alraedy. For Example, one of my neighbour left 2 older cats behind, when he died. The new owner hates them. So I feed them still in the same street, after I have moved. Another friendy neighbour allwed me to install some sleeping places on his ground. Sometimes they need, as normal home cats too medical treatment, but still they enjoy their life. WHY NOT????
They have the same rights to live a painless, friendly and healthy life as everyone!
Most BIRDS are dying by PESTIZIDES !!! Because Insekts dying!!!!! But Insekts are the food of Birds! NOT Cats reducing Birds, BUT HUMAN!!! with their stupid use of to much pestizides!.

Whilst I do not condone verbal interference in your habits, it maybe useful to know that in some areas it is an offence to feed feral cats. Spain has the biggest feral cat problem in Europe. Feral cats have a very short natural life span and feeding can make them more fertile. ...

...They generally live for only 2 years. They need protein from their prey to survive and they help keep the wildlife in their natural habitat under control. You maybe need to ask yourself if you are really doing them any favours. I would not hurt any animal but neither would I interfere in their natural survival. They carry disease and should not be encouraged into populated areas so perhaps taking a more objective view might be called for instead of hurling insults against someone who is perhaps thinking your habits are not in the cats best interests. Just a different point of view.
Bullshit, sorry,
Cats don't have diseases they could pass on dogs NOR humans. And cats can live up to 20 years. AND if you do NOT feed the cats, you CANNOT catch them to have them spayed - neutered. In order to get them in the catch baskets, they MUST trust the human. And cats keep rats away from humans. Where there are NO CATS, rats will spread faster than you can fight them. AND to interpret POISON is PUNISHABLE, laying out poison is a criminal act, prohibited and should be reported to the Guardia Civil. BECAUSE it is not uncommon for dogs to die TOO from rat poison. IT IS FORBIDDEN!!!! also for hunters.
Anyone who knows someone laying out poison should be reported to the Guardia Civil (denunciation). Instead of complaining about cat feeding, it would be more advantageous to donate for further castrations.
