Would anyone know if returning a car on hire is an accepted trip. In my eyes it isn’t but the car hire company insists it is. I’ve got to go to Alicante airport and get back to Monte Pego. I have a friend who will follow me and bring me back but it seems I will be breaking many rules. Any ideas? Thanks
As I read it, its an essential journey for you, but not for your friend. He risks being stopped on the way there and on the way back, having two in the car you will be a prime target to be stopped.
I can only think you need to get public transport to as close as possible to your home and then taxi from there.
Different company but there was a similar question a couple of days ago.
Seems a pragmatic stance as they are not going to be needing the car to hire out again anytime soon and with the lockdown they know it's not going to be having many km put on it - and ultimately they've still got your deposit!
