No sorry it's true and the paperwork is not getting married is correct I spoke to a girl on the ferry who was with her Portuguese boyfriend and they have done same u can get an EU member to add u as family like cohabiting in GB I guess she also had EU passports for her dogs which I shall think about but won't be taking the dog back to Britain in a hurry 😁

Just to clarify,once u start your application they will not deport u the clock stops so got padron sorted but my other half hasn't got alot of his previous marriage birth etc papers so we drip feeding them as we get them he hates doing papers and is mortified that they have one part of his name missing at health centre ,now sorted but that was only again to a relative who works in social security office the concept of needing a birth certificate with today's date on it is news to me but it's same in France apparently his worst nightmare 😁 so now it's underway I wait till get TIE then still have up to 6 months to exchange driving licence 😁
